 The May Challenge at Path of Positivity has started and the optional twist is Power of Words: Art/Creativity.

 I have used a digital paper from PixelScrapper.  The image is from Sliekje Digital Stamps and the quotation is typed on the computer.  I also added a paint palette sticker.  Colouring is with copic markers and inking is with Distress Oxides.

Happy Spring

 The May challenge at Incy Wincy Designs is under way.  The themes for this month are Spring and/or Animals.

When I think of spring I think of daffodils bearing the first buds of the season.  For me, Spring is still a number of months away but it is nice to create a spring card when the cooler winter temperatures are just starting to hit.

I have used a digital paper from Pixel Scrapper.  The image is from The Stamping Boutique and the sentiment is from Anji's Antics.  Colouring is with copic markers and inking with Distress Ink.  I also added a spring themed ribbon and some gems.

Happy Birthday

 I have had this image printed out all month trying to decide what to create with it.  I decided in the end to just go CAS with it and make the sentiment the feature.

I also decided to use a digital paper that was part of a challenge late last year.  At the time, I discovered there was a paper to go with the image after I had already completed my card.  When I was struggling to decide what colours to go with for this image, the paper helped me out a lot.

I finally managed to complete all the posts for my participation in the Gecko Galz April Challenges.  I had finished the project yesterday morning but I wasn't happy with the photograph when I went to upload it last night.  I had to wait until this morning until the light was better.  I made it with about 9 hours to spare!
